    Toyota GR Unleashes Japan’s Joyful New Meal Toy: The Ultimate Racing Companion!

    The collaboration between McDonald’s and Toyota’s Gazoo Racing is back in Japan, introducing the GR GT3 Happy Meal Tomica, along with a thrilling livery contest and an undisclosed model that piques curiosity.

    Toyota’s motorsport division, Gazoo Racing, has rekindled its partnership with McDonald’s in Japan, unveiling the GR GT3 racing car in their Happy Meal collection. This partnership marks a significant point in the car’s journey from mere concept to a formidable global GT3 competitor, complemented by an exciting livery design contest.

    The scale model of the GR GT3, crafted by Tomica, showcases McDonald’s and Toyota Gazoo Racing graphics. It highlights an aggressive aerodynamic configuration and side-mounted exhausts, distinguishing it from the anticipated production supercar.

    Die-cast toy owners can also enhance their experience by scanning a QR code located on the packaging, which links them to interactive online content, further engaging fans with the brand.

    In addition to the striking black GR GT3, the 2026 Happy Meal Tomica series will unveil various other toy vehicles. The first wave, available from April 10 to 23, features a Toyota Town Ace Hamburger truck, a Nissan Skyline police sedan, and a fire truck—though it’s likely that many youngsters will be drawn to the GR model.

    The second wave will be released between April 24 and May 7, offering a Nissan Caravan ambulance, a Toyota Dyna tow truck, a double-decker bus, a Hino Profia Megalodon Transport Truck, and a surprise model. This last addition seems to be another GR GT3, likely donning an alternate livery. From May 8 onward, all nine models will be accessible to Happy Meal customers.

    The collaboration also features a “GR GT3 Wrapping Design Contest” showcased on platform X. Fans of all ages are encouraged to download a coloring template for the model, designing their ideal liveries for a chance to win exciting prizes.
